Last weekend, Goya dropped arguably some of the best music that has been made from Kingsport, Tennessee. A project by the name of "Colors" featuring so much local talent such as Chase Hunnid, C-Note, TheRealOhGee and plenty more is creating some local waves right now here in the 423, and if you haven't heard it yet, I suggest you stream it below:
you can even catch me doing a little ad-lib on "gang gang" in the tape.
We sat down with Dristan or Yung Drit to ask him some questions regarding the new tape, what exactly Goya is, and more.

INTERVIEW WITH YUNG DRIT
What exactly is Goya?
Yung Drit: Goya is really something we all started in high school as friends, lol we just went around in the hallways yelling it. Eventually, it turned into a every day thing at school. So I was wondering to myself how much far I could take it, that’s how I got into clothing. Our first clothing dropped consisted of a plain white tee with a 3’ black tri angle on the front left chest & a 10’ Black tri angle on the center back. We sold all the shirts within 48 hours. Then I wanted to take it further and push it into music, so I decided to have a show in Kingsport & show case “TPM” “Lamont865” “ChaseHunnid” we had the civic auditorium jumpin. Ever since then I decided to run with Goya and see how much further I could take it. I have fun with Goya it’s like it’s my brain splattered everywhere.
What was the inspiration behind Colors, and how long did it take to make?
Yung Drit: Well I’ve been into music for a long time, I’ve always thought it’d be cool to make a project with all of my friends just for fun, but Brett was big into making the project “Colors” that’s what really pushed me to run that extra mile & do it. #LongLivePrime. It took about 1 month to make, ever since the passing of a close friend we were all in the studio every night working till we were yawning!
What's your personal favorite track from the album and why?
Yung Drit: My personal favorite would have to be “Demons”. For one I personally think it sounds creative & good. Catchy hook from TheRealOhGee & great verses from myself & Zevoo. We just put our mindset to the fact that the world is turning to hell so you have to evolve as a demon.
What are your plans going from here? Any upcoming singles or shows?
Yung Drit: Just keep producing music, shows from here to there. I can’t really say much after that, but yes keep your eyes open for plenty of singles & shows..
